Center for Child and Family Services at 739 Thimble Shoals Boulevard in Newport News, Virginia is a COA Accredited community mental health center providing trauma-informed counseling and behavioral health services for children, adults, veterans, and families. Services include individual therapy, family therapy, marital counseling, couples counseling, group therapy, psychotherapy, trauma therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment-Regulation-Competency (ARC) trauma therapy, domestic violence intervention, batterer intervention, critical incident stress management, veteran suicide prevention counseling, substance use prevention, Latino outreach counseling, and cultural services. Services are available in English and Spanish.

Conditions addressed include depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), defiant behavior, attachment and bonding issues, substance use disorders, childhood abuse, sexual abuse, aggression, suicidal ideation, and family violence.
