Camber Children's Mental Health in Hays, Kansas, provides compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for children and adolescents ages 6 to 18 who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidal thoughts, and other serious mental health conditions. Opened in February 2023, the newly built inpatient hospital expands critical access to emergency stabilization and residential mental health treatment for youth across Western Kansas. This modern facility delivers intensive therapeutic services in a safe, structured, and home-like setting designed to support healing and long-term recovery.
The Camber Hays campus offers both short-term inpatient care for youth in crisis and longer-term psychiatric residential treatment for those needing 24/7 support beyond outpatient services. Youth receive comprehensive medical, clinical, and psychiatric assessments, along with individualized therapy, medication management, neuroscience-based education, and structured community activities. As treatment concludes, the Camber team works closely with families to ensure a smooth transition through personalized aftercare planning, which may include outpatient therapy, case management, family support, and specialized education. Partnered with the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS), Camber is committed to transforming lives through accessible, life-saving mental health services.
