BH Link in East Providence, Rhode Island is a 24/7 walk-in behavioral health crisis center and triage center that provides immediate assistance for adults experiencing mental health, substance use, or emotional distress crises. The facility offers crisis intervention services, behavioral health and risk assessment, safety planning, stability services, and walk-in crisis services designed to stabilize individuals and connect them to appropriate levels of care. The on-site 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline provides around-the-clock call, text, and chat access to trained crisis counselors, allowing individuals to receive immediate support during behavioral health emergencies.
BH Link serves as a community-based triage center focused on stabilization and rapid connection to ongoing treatment and recovery supports. Services include referrals, direct admission to continuing care programs, and access to resources and educational materials to help individuals transition into ongoing mental health or substance use treatment following a crisis. The program is designed to reduce unnecessary hospital visits while ensuring individuals receive immediate support, stabilization, and connection to long-term behavioral health care.
