I come to Shawnee with my family and recently started getting behavioral services here during a really hard time in my life. When I first came in, I was in the middle of a life crisis and honestly didn’t know where to start. There is a CHW here (I believe her name is ms Coleman, Kierra or keonna) and if there were enough accolades to give, I would definitely give them all to her like truly ! She is very vibrant and bright. Every time I see her at the center she’s smiling and usually helping someone. You can tell she truly cares about people. I’m not really one for writing Google reviews, but I had to brag on her. She really went the extra mile to help me with things going on in my personal life and made sure I had access to resources I didn’t even know existed. She even checks in on me when she sees me and remembers my name which means a lot. Shes also very sweet to my kiddos, which makes coming in a lot easier for my family. I just want to say Shawnee has a real light working there. Thank you ms Coleman for your professionalism, kindness, and dedication to helping me and my children You truly made a difference in my life. Go to Shawnee to get services I truly recommend it

I started out as a client at Pax Recovery Center in the spring after being recommended by former clients. I had also met one of the co-owners when he came to speak at a meeting I attended during treatment. I’ve been in a few other sober living programs, and I can confidently say this has been the best experience by far. Pax Recovery truly takes a holistic approach to the wellbeing of its clients. The owner once told me she wants everyone here to be treated the same way she would want a loved one treated in our situation — and it shows. We’re not seen as just numbers or statistics, but as people deserving of dignity, compassion, and community. I’ve been here for several months and was able to successfully graduate from the program, continuing with their aftercare support. I never once felt slighted or judged for the person that I am, and I believe this is a safe place for any man to develop into the person he’s meant to be. I am forever grateful for everything this program has done for me and highly recommend Pax Recovery to any man who finds himself ready to do something truly different with his life. The time, energy, and genuine care the team pours into each of us make all the difference.

Hands down the best treatment service I've experienced in Louisville. The previous owner has retired, but the torch is being carried with the same care and commitment that Mr. Dobbs had curated over his 30+ year tenure. Ms. Stephanie at the 3rd St. location is an amazing therapist and really cares about her clients. The last counseling service I used just stuck you in a room, put an outdated movie on, cut the lights, and left the room for an hour. That may sound cool to some, but personally, I prefer the group interaction and thought provoking discussions that Ms. Stephanie provides in our classes. Keep up the good work, Stephanie, and thank you for giving a shit. Court ordered or not, I highly suggest using New Beginnings if you're even in a situation that requires it. 10/10 would recommend.

Applegate has changed my life, the support, the positivity, the commitment to their patients is a breath of fresh air. They help keep me on track with my sobriety. No judgements here, I've tried many different recovery paths during my life in Kentucky and none can compare to Applegate, Big Thanks to all the staff who support me during my journey🙌🫶

Marcia McGinnis is amazing. She is very professional and also makes you feel comfortable. Shes patient and actually listens. I’ve been in and out of therapy since I was 10 years old and I’ve never found a mental health professional that has made me feel more comfortable then she has. She’s a number one choice in my book and would rate her even higher than 5 stars if I could.
