Aiken/Barnwell Mental Health Center
Community Mental Health Center
Aiken Barnwell Mental Health Center’s Child, Adolescent, and Family Services (CAF) program is founded on the belief that children thrive best—emotionally, socially, and developmentally—within their home environments and communities. The CAF program provides a comprehensive range of therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges.
Recognizing that with the right support, resources, and opportunities, young individuals and their families can successfully overcome emotional, behavioral, and mental health difficulties, the program serves youth up to age 18, unless otherwise specified.
The program is committed to enhancing the quality of life for each individual by promoting independence, recognizing personal strengths, and respecting the rights, preferences, and cultural backgrounds of both the individual and their family. Treatment planning is a collaborative process between the clinician and the person served, ensuring that services are customized to each individual's specific needs, abilities, and goals.
