The AIDS Center of Queens County (ACQC) Behavioral Health Department is a New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH)-licensed Article 31 outpatient mental health clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and accessible mental health services to adults and adolescents (ages 13 and older) with Axis I diagnoses. Operating across four locations in Queens, New York, the department serves approximately 200 individuals, offering a wide range of evidence-based treatment modalities at no cost to clients. As part of ACQC’s broader mission to support individuals living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS and other chronic conditions, the Behavioral Health Department integrates mental health care with holistic services to promote overall well-being, independence, and community engagement.

The Behavioral Health Department is guided by a client-centered philosophy aimed at empowering individuals to achieve greater independence and quality of life. Its primary goals include:
