The Gathering Place

The Gathering Place, located at 1001 Cherry Street in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is a peer recovery center dedicated to supporting adults living with mental health conditions and substance use challenges. As one of 11 peer recovery centers in Wisconsin, the organization is contracted with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and is fully staffed by Certified Peer Specialists and Recovery Coaches who have personal, lived experience in recovery. This unique approach allows The Gathering Place to provide an environment of understanding, empowerment, and encouragement for individuals on their journey to wellness.

Through its programs, The Gathering Place offers individual and group peer support, structured recovery coaching, and evidence-based peer-led groups designed to help participants build confidence, resilience, and hope. Services include support groups, wellness and mindfulness activities, and educational classes, all focused on providing practical skills and a safe community space. By emphasizing peer support as an evidence-based practice, The Gathering Place helps reduce reliance on crisis services, hospital readmissions, and repeated incarcerations, while empowering members to live meaningful lives.
