Located on the first floor of 4019 Clarcona Ocoee Road in Orlando, Florida, Multi Cultural Addictions Network (M-CAN) serves as a grassroots, community-focused mental health & wellness organization committed to advocacy, prevention, and education. Since its founding in 2008, M-CAN has worked to address critical health issues affecting communities of color, with an emphasis on mental health, substance use, and HIV/AIDS awareness. The organization actively engages with schools, churches, and community groups through targeted mental health screenings, substance abuse prevention workshops, and culturally relevant educational campaigns.
A hallmark of M-CAN’s outreach is its annual participation in National Alcohol & Drug Recovery Month, highlighted by the "Step In the Name of Love" walk and run, which brings together hundreds of individuals and families from across Central Florida to celebrate recovery. Through a mix of volunteer engagement, data-driven programming, and personalized outreach, M-CAN fosters awareness and resilience within underserved communities. Their efforts focus on removing stigma, promoting early intervention, and empowering individuals to become agents of change in their communities.
