Detroit Vet Center

Located in the heart of Detroit, Michigan, the Detroit Vet Center offers confidential, no-cost mental health services tailored to the unique needs of Veterans, active duty service members, and their families. Situated at 11214 East Jefferson Avenue, this community-based facility provides a non-medical setting where individuals can access compassionate support for issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, military sexual trauma (MST), grief, substance use, and more. Whether through one-on-one sessions or group therapy—including their engaging Guitars 4 Vets program—clients receive personalized care to promote emotional wellness and connection.

The Detroit Vet Center utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Specialized support is also available for women Veterans, Gold Star families, and those navigating the transition to civilian life. With a strong emphasis on family inclusion, trauma-informed care, and community referrals, this facility provides a safe and empowering space for healing and growth.
