Community Connections

Community Connections in Ketchikan, Alaska, is a nonprofit human services organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families through comprehensive behavioral health and developmental support. Serving the southern Southeast Alaska region for more than 30 years, the organization helps individuals of all ages — from children with behavioral health needs to adults with physical disabilities and elders requiring assistance. With a mission rooted in inclusion and personal growth, Community Connections promotes independence, skill development, and community participation in the most natural, integrated settings possible.

The center provides a wide range of behavioral health services including individual, family, and group counseling, as well as psychiatric support and therapeutic foster care. Services are offered in various community-based environments such as family homes, schools, and activity spaces to foster comfort and engagement. Guided by trauma-informed, family-centered, and strengths-based approaches, Community Connections ensures that every treatment plan is tailored to individual needs and supported by collaboration among professionals, families, and community partners.
