Located at 2970 Kele Street, Suite 203, in Lihue, HI, Child & Family Service (CFS) provides a vital safety net for children, teens, and families facing emotional and behavioral health challenges. Through its Crisis Mobile Outreach (CMO) program, the facility delivers around-the-clock intervention for youth in acute psychiatric crisis, including those experiencing suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, homicidal thoughts, and psychosis. This mobile service offers on-the-spot assessments, stabilization, and referrals, ensuring timely mental health support within the community.

This Lihue location also provides a 3–6 month intensive family therapy system that supports youth ages 11–18 struggling with conduct issues, violence, substance abuse, family conflict, communication difficulties, anxiety, and depression. With additional offerings like Comprehensive Counseling and Support Services (CCSS), Domestic Violence Services for Families, and Substance Abuse Treatment, CFS empowers families to build resilience and stability.

Serving as a trusted Family Center on Kaua‘i, the site delivers holistic care through programs such as Early Head Start, Positive Youth Development, Multidisciplinary Team Services, and Voluntary Case Management. Child & Family Service continues its legacy—dating back to 1899—of creating strong, healthy families across Hawai‘i through culturally grounded, community-based behavioral health support.
